The present office and program structure of Hope House will close June 30, 2022. However, a program designed to access the needs of seniors in our community and assist them in securing services will be initiated by volunteers trained and funded by Lutheran Community Services Northwest.
For over 25 years Hope House has been offering counseling and support services to families in the North Coast region. Lutheran Community Services of the NW provides oversight for programs and administration. Funding comes through generous donations from partners such as, United Way, Lutheran congregations of the North Coast Cluster, other church groups, individuals, businesses, grants, client fees, and hosting of facilities by Peace First Lutheran Church.
The Mission of Hope House is to promote justice, healing, growth and spiritual awareness through professional counseling, education and advocacy while affirming cultural and religious diversity.
The Hope House staff is made up of licensed, professional counselors that work with individuals, families, and groups. The staff’s areas of training and expertise include couples, marriage, family, parenting, children and adolescents, grief and loss, women’s and men’s issues, child sexual abuse, adults molested as children, domestic violence, divorce, stepfamilies, elderly, addiction issues and troubled youth.
Location and Directions: Hope House is located next to the Peace First Lutheran Church at 725 33rd Street in Astoria.
