Intercessory Prayer
Wednesdays, 12:00 P.M. @ Peace Lutheran Sanctuary - Downtown Campus sanctuary (12th and Exchange)
We take thirty minutes out of our week (12:00—12:30 p.m.) to join in praying for our community, our world, and ourselves.

We gather around the cross of Christ, the sign of God’s unfailing love for us and for the whole creation. We come to hear God’s promise to pardon, strengthen, and heal us. We come to pray for God’s peace to reign in our souls and in our community.   We come at Christ’s invitation.

Please Note: If you are a member of a High Risk category due to age and/or health, we strongly urge you to consider this before attending.  Masks may be worn when inside if you prefer, and safe distance seating is still advised.

Worship Videos

We have in-person worship each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., at our Uppertown Campus, 725 33rd Street, Astoria, Oregon 97103. Our affirmation of the "communion of saints" is grounded not only in the physical presence of the worshiping community, but even more in the spiritual unity we share through God's promise of life everlasting with all the saints, past, present, and future.  You may watch the live stream of our 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship on this website by clicking on the Sunday video link or click on the YouTube button in the lower left corner to watch on the YouTube platform.  Check out past worship services on our YouTube page as well.  Blessings and peace to you!

Peace  First  Lutheran  Choir

Music is important in the life of the congregation, and the Peace First Lutheran Choir enhances our worship with special music. The purpose of our Music Ministry is to praise God with a Joyful Noise and it is open to all who love singing a wide variety of classical and contemporary worship music.

The summer months are left open for special music once or twice a month.   Also, during the summer, starting June 18th, we will start our worship services with hymn sings again. You get to select a song you’d like to sing, and we do 1 or 2 verses. Time limits allow for just 3 songs per service. Start thinking and selecting now and be ready to call out that number! (If you don’t know the hymn number, jot down the first line of the hymn and we can look it up…)

Choir practice begins again in the fall, the first Wednesday after Labor Day, 7pm, and sings every Sunday alternating between the 8:30am & 11:00am services, and is led by PFLC Music Director, Laurie Drage. You can contact her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or (503) 791-5917 or call the church office for more information.

All are welcome!

The PFLC Worship & Music Team wanted to focus on the new life promised us inthe waters of our baptism. Local artist, Constance Waisanen, created a font for PFLC with this theme in mind. We dedicated it during worship at the festival of the Baptism of Our Lord. A small pump creates a little fountain in the middle and rocks of various shapes, sizes and hues representing the members of our congregation line the bottom of the font. Truly Christ calls us to living waters and to immerse ourselves in them wholly.
Heartfelt thanks to the PFLC Worship & Music Team and Constance for this powerful symbol of our life in Christ Jesus!

1I will bless the LORD at all times;
 his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
 2My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
 let the humble hear and be glad.
 3O magnify the LORD with me,
 and let us exalt his name together.
 4I sought the LORD, and he answered me,
 and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34

Worship is at the heart of our community, whether it
be Sunday, a mid-week service, or a time of small
group study or meeting.

Works of Love

It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing.

It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.
